“Tonight we celebrate resilience; tonight is a testament of purpose. Tonight is a defining moment in a 15 year journey of advocacy, sacrifice, innovation and transformational impact.”
He reminded the nation of the organization’s foundation—a beginning powered not by wealth or institutional backing, but by unwavering conviction:
“The H4P Organization was born out of a conviction—that Persons with Disability deserve opportunities, not sympathy; inclusion, not isolation; empowerment, not criticism.”
From these humble origins, H4P has evolved into a leading force in disability advocacy. Through The Helping Hand TV Show, community development programs, health outreach initiatives and the C.H.I.L. Awards, the organization has become a catalyst for perception change nationwide.
The continental significance of the evening deepened as Hon. Isaac Maigua Mwaura, CBS—Government Spokesperson for the Republic of Kenya and a globally respected champion for disability inclusion—took his place as Special Guest of Honour. His presence affirmed that the C.H.I.L. Awards are no longer only a Ghanaian moment; they are part of a rising African movement toward dignity and justice.
Celebrating Champions of Influence and Impact
Following a very competitive process with nominations submitted from all over the country, this year’s edition was truly a step up from the disability community as now more than ever their achievements and successes can be celebrated on a national and international stage.
Out of the keenly submitted nominations; the following pulled through as winners.
Education Award – Prof. Augustina Naami
A hush fell across the room as her profile began. With more than fourteen years of scholarship, teaching and advocacy at the University of Ghana, Prof. Naami has reshaped national discussions around disability inclusion, mental health and social policy. Her win was more than an academic milestone—it was inspiration for the next generation of scholars watching her ascend.
Entrepreneurship Award – Victoria Teni Luatemah
From the resilient heart of Sefwi Akontombra, Victoria’s story lit up the hall with emotion. Through agribusiness, processing, detergents, waste solutions, beekeeping, beadwork and more, she has built a value chain that uplifts her community and redefines rural entrepreneurship. Her triumph reminded the nation that disability does not reduce ambition—it strengthens it.
Disability Sports Award – Zinabu Issah
When her awe inspiring 29.25m national discus throw replayed on the giant screens, the entire hall erupted. Zinabu’s excellence represents Ghana on the continental stage, proving that PWDs are breaking records and pushing boundaries in ways the world can no longer overlook.
Live performances from Minister Elorm, Douglas Makafui and the Visionary Rhythms Band filled the ballroom with joy and reverence. Video tributes from past honourees—Prof. Wisdom Mprah, Raphael Botsyo Nkegbe, Dr. Seidu Daanaa and others—wove a thread of continuity, reminding the audience that they are part of a growing legacy of courage, innovation and purpose.
Laughter mingled with tears. Strangers embraced like old friends. And as the final note faded, the hall glowed with an emotion shared by all: hope restored.
“Inclusion is not charity—it is justice,” Bishop Hackman declared.
On this night, justice did not whisper—it sang.
Why the World Should Partner with H4P
As the C.H.I.L. Awards continue to uplift stories that would otherwise remain unheard, the H4P Organization stands at the forefront of a national and continental shift. H4P is not just raising awareness—it is opening doors where none existed, building systems where gaps once lay, and giving visibility to individuals whose talents can transform industries, communities and countries.
This is why individuals, institutions and corporate organizations should partner with H4P:
• H4P delivers real, measurable impact.
From education to health, advocacy to economic empowerment, the organization’s programs change lives sustainably—not symbolically.
• Partnership with H4P directly expands opportunities for PWDs.
Through training, media visibility, skill development, and recognition, partners help unlock talent that already exists but remains unseen.
• H4P’s platforms influence policy and national conversations.
Collaborating with H4P helps shape a more inclusive Ghana—one workplace, one policy, one community at a time.
• The C.H.I.L. Awards provide a unique, high-profile space for honouring ability.
Partners become part of a legacy that uplifts, empowers and inspires the nation.
Most importantly, partnering with H4P is a commitment to justice—a declaration that every Ghanaian, regardless of ability, deserves to thrive.
The journey ahead is bright, and H4P invites the world to walk it together.
Because when we stand with Persons with Disabilities, we lift not only individuals—we lift the nation.
